- USA:
AcMNPV (Autographa californica multiple nuclear polyhedrosis virus) belongs to Baculoviridae family, Alpha baculovirus. It was initially isolated from Autographa californica and named after it.
Currently, AcMNPV is the most deeply studied and widely used member in baculoviridae family, especially in Europe, America and Japan. It contains a 130 KB double-stranded closed DNA, in which two genes (polyhedron and P10 genes) that replicate unnecessary but late overexpression are considered to be ideal insertion sites for foreign genes.
The basic principle of AcMNPV BEVS is to insert the coding gene of the target protein into the AcMNPV genome, and then use it to infect insect cells, directing the synthesis of the bioactive target protein (Figure 1.).
For customers who tend to adopt a more traditional and mature tool baculovirus which offers multiple expression approaches and host cells to choose from please consider our AcMNPV platform.
However, the limitation of the host cell size makes AcMNPV less suitable for industrial-scale production. For the easily operated high-level recombinant protein expression, please refer to our BmNPV expression platform.
Meanwhile, Creative BioMart is also developing a host-expanded baculovirus DNA which can amplify amplification in the commonly used hosts cells of AcMVPV and express recombinant protein in BmNPV host. Please refer to our HyNPV expression platform if you are interested.
Creative BioMart has a mature AcMNPV BEVS platform. We can provide a variety of approaches of protein expression services based on the AcMNPV platform. Customers can choose the service/ approach according to the characteristics of their target protein. For the ancillary services of AcMNPV BEVS, Creative BioMart offers
for customers who have not yet established their expression solution.
for those who already have their expression solution but need help in certain steps.
for unusual protein expression.
In addition to the service, Creative BioMart also provides all products needed for your own protein expression, including kits, host cells and culture media, etc. Please feel free to contact us whenever you need help.
