The BaculoDirect Baculovirus Expression System directly mixes the gene of interest with BaculoDirect linear virus DNA under the catalysis of LR Clonase enzyme. Benefit from the Gateway technology, the novel viral DNA can be obtained within one hour, eliminating the section of transforming bacteria, bacmid extraction, or co-transfection, dramatically shortens the protein expression period.

Flexible product packages to choose from
The two types of BaculoDirect Expression Kit (KTE1005, KTE1006) offer sufficient material for 20 rapid reactions. We also provide two simple transfection kits which contains liner viral DNA and transfection reagent. (KTR1025, KTR1026) The recombinant protein can be featured with either N or C terminal V5-His sequence for tag infusion as well as a TEV protease cleavage site for tag removal. Both Sf9 and Sf21 cell line are recommended to generate high-titer viral stocks, although only frozen Sf9 cells is offered together with the expression kit. Once the vial stock is obtained, you may use Sf9, Sf21, High Five, or MimicSf9 cells for protein expression studies.
However, please note that entry vector is not included in the expression kit. A variety of entry vector are also available at Creative BioMart (KTC1016, KTC1017, KTC1018). In order to further improve the efficiency, these vectors all apply TOPO cloning strategy for the five minutes rapid vector construction.
