Codon optimization refers to the redesign of genes by using preferred codons which avoiding rare codons with low utilization, simplifying the secondary structure of mRNA transcription, removing motifs that are not conducive to efficient expression, adding motifs that are conducive to efficient expression, and adjusting GC content.
