Occlusion Body Surface Display Service

Occlusion Body Surface Display Service Polyhedrin starts to accumulate in the insect cell during the late phase of infection to embed the occlusion derived virus (ODV) to form occlusion body. The polyhedrin is so abundant in the infected cells that it accounts for almost 50% of total protein. As polyhedrin is not essential for virus survival, it is wise to use polyhedrin to realize the high-level foreign protein display.

Service Description

Occlusion Body Surface Display Service The foreign fragment was inserted into polyhedrin through routine procedure and displayed on the occlusion body. The location of the protein display is shown in the figure.

Our customers usually require our occlusion body surface display service for the purposes of

  • Immunoprecipitation
  • Use occlusion body surface display as a carrier of insecticidal toxins

Service Features

As an expert in the field of biotechnology, Creative BioMart have been committed to providing quality services to our customers. We

  • Provide occlusion body surface display service to AcMNPV and BmNPV as they both contains polyhedrin to assistant occlusion formation.
  • Tailor the most appropriate insertion site for each protein according to the protein property and virus selection. Reference position of insertion site
Baculovirus Species Insertion Site on Polyhedrin Description
AcMNPV N-terminal 19-110, 32-110 amino acids Folds of increase in protein yield
Amino acid 58-110 Minimal sequence for incorporation
BmNPV N-terminal 50 amino acids Necessary recognition signal length
N-terminal 100 amino acids Most efficient incorporation

Creative BioMart provides several surface display services corresponding to 5 kinds of infusion strategies. Please click the links below to learn more about our services if you are interested in. If you have any problem, please feel free to contact us.

Use the GP64 glycoprotein as the fusion partner to display the intended protein.

Fuse the foreign protein with VP39 nucleocapsid protein (rather than GP64) and display it on the surface of baculovirus capsid

Adopt the GP64 related strategy to display the protein to the host insect cells

Complete the GP64-related surface display in the non-lepidopteran cell with the help of appropriate promoters
