InsectDirect System

A rapid, virus-free expression service is available in Creative BioMart. Customers who are looking for technical support on determining the optimal expression system for multiple target protein please consider our InsectDirect expression service. The plasmid-mediate expression approach can rapidly direct milligram-scale target protein expression in insect cells without undertaking the time-intensive step like virus tittering and amplifying. On top of the simplified expression approach, a set of high-efficiency transfection and purification method is also applied to facilitate the service. As a result, target protein can be harvested in 48 hours after transection.

InsectDirect System 

InsectDirect system is a virus free system which mainly involves a transfer vector and a host insect cell (Figure 1). The transfer vector is framed with a hr5 enhancer and an immediate early promoter ie1 thus can direct induce the transcription in host insect cells. Thus, the step of construction recombinant virus, plaque assay, virus tittering, and amplifying can be eliminated in InsectDirect. The InsectDirect system exhibits the feature including,

The expression level of pIEx is slightly higher than the other ones. Thereby, pIEx transfer vector is more recommended for high-level expression.
